LOGISTICS TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR

 

ASEA is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Logistics Transportation Coordinator to join our team. SUMMARY:

 

The Logistics Transportation Coordinator is responsible for working with the logistics team to monitor global pick-up and delivery shipments globally, manage freight shipment costs, logs, and paperwork, and confirm accuracy, efficiency, and quality of operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure the efficient shipping of our 3PLs, and coordinate sending orders and receiving tracking back from them accurately.
  • Work with members of the logistic team to monitor pick-up and delivery of global shipments.
  • Run reports to make sure packages are shipping in a timely manner and that address issues are being sent to customer service.
  • Be the first point of contact between custom service and our 3PL partners on shipping issues and questions.
  • Work with 3PLs to make sure that order management, return management, and all GMP is being done correctly by our partners.
  • Alert 3PL partner of in transit shipments and what is on the way. Report freight costs, status of shipments, and deliveries.
  • Compile shipping and custom documents and save them on servers, be knowledgeable of costs, quotes, and negotiated rates.
  • Update reports to show number of replacements, time in transit, inventory sold, and inventory on hand.
  • Alert 3PL providers to new products, kits, policies, boxes, etc., and how to handle and track all these items.
  • Report and watch the inventory level of 3PLs and report changes in burn rates or needed shipments.
  • Work with Production, Purchasing and Planning, Quality, and other departments as needed to accomplish goals.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • BS/BA degree in supply chain or related field a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, customer service, attention to detail, and project management skills.
  • The ability to make decisions, problem solve, and prioritize assignments.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and data entry.
  • Experience with International shipping documentation and working with Customs.
  • Experience with Inventory management and MRP systems a plus.
