TECHNICAL REGULATORY SPECIALIST (m/f/d) Location: Munich (Germany)

SUMMARY:

 

ASEA is seeking a Paralegal with experience in science and/or consumer goods regulations to assist with product compliance in European markets where ASEA products are distributed. This position will maintain all relevant documentation, mainly in electronic form, compile technical documentation for product registrations and continue expanding systems for all product related certifications and notifications. This will also include notifications of dossiers to local authorities or market colleagues, review of product information, preparations for compliance checks of applicable laws and regulations. Support answers from other sciences such as regional sales or marketing or from our Headquarters in the USA.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develops and maintains regulatory knowledge databases: regarding all product relevant documentations, such as registrations, CoA, MSDS, formulations, Ingredients specifications, related rules, classifications and regulations, etc.
  • Maintains international product compliance by conducting thorough review of all documentation related to formulas and ingredients.
  • Review product labels, marketing assets and other printed or digital content related to ASEA products, including reviews and documentation of ingredient specifications, certificates etc.
  • Supports the Regulatory Director in all relevant documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Maintains hold-files" for resubmission and meeting deadlines.
  • Manages compliance reviews of new product concepts and assists in the evaluation of ingredient acceptability, product classification, allowable claims, and potential sales limitations in assigned markets.
  • Works with external and/or local, state, federal, and international government offices, University or other cooperation partners to obtain appropriate documentation for product/claim compliance.
  • Communicates effectively with international teams and cross-functional team members to support and review product related topics.
  • Monitors formula changes and label revisions in cooperation with marketing and manufacturing to assure compliance with domestic and International regulatory requirements.
  • Develops appropriate tools to monitor and document project progress and communicate appropriately to key stakeholders.
  • Project manages maintenance of the operational documents and data requirements for technical regulatory portfolio management system.
  • Monitor domestic and international regulations for any impact to the company or product.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Paralegal with experience in science or consumer goods is a must.
  • Great organizational talent and flexibility are a must.
  • Foreign language proficiency is highly desired (working language is English).
  • 2-4 years' experience in law office, preferably within consumer goods and/or regulatory for nutritional supplements, foods and cosmetic products.
  • Understanding of Project Management and document control tools highly preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • International experience and/or working for an American cooperation is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
