REGULATORY AFFAIRS SPECIALIST

 

ASEA is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team. SUMMARY:

 

ASEA is seeking a regulatory professional to ensure product compliance in assigned markets where ASEA product is distributed. This position will perform regulatory review of ingredients, formulations, and claims. The specialist will compile technical documentation for product registration, including dossiers and other documents required by the authorities. Additionally, this position will review product labels, marketing assets and other printed or digital content related to ASEA products.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of relevant domestic and international regulations, including, but not limited to, claims, labeling, ingredient acceptability, classification, and product registration / notification / certification.
  • Develops and maintains accurate regulatory knowledge databases
  • Review product labels, marketing assets and other printed or digital content related to ASEA products, including reviews and documentation of ingredient specifications, certificates etc.
  • Assess regulatory compliance of new formulas and/or ingredients to determine acceptability, product classification, allowable claims, and potential sales limitations in applicable markets.
  • Provides, creates, or edits, all documentation for the registration and notification of products domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Works with local, state, federal, and international government authorities for regulatory product compliance.
  • Communicates effectively with international teams and cross-functional team members all product regulatory related matters.
  • Monitors formula changes and label revisions to assure compliance with domestic and International regulatory requirements.
  • Maintenance of the operational documents
  • Monitor domestic and international regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • BA/BS, preferably in science or law related fields
  • 5-10 years of consumer goods regulatory or quality experience, preferable with experience in the direct selling industry for nutritional supplements, foods and cosmetic products
  • Foreign language proficiency preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative
  • Understanding of Project Management tools preferred

  • Planning and Organizing: Establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently and on time, on profile and on budget.
  • Issues Resolution: Uses sound judgment to escalate issues for quick resolution; allows for challenges to be alleviated with a sense of urgency.
