RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER

 

ASEA is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Research & Development Project Manager to join our team. SUMMARY:

 

ASEA is looking for a Research & Development Project Manager to be responsible for handling a broad variety of our Research & Development projects. This person will be working closely with management, the Research & Development team, peers and externals to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing and presenting status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans, as well as the proper execution of said plans.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Coordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to set quality standards.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
  • Producing progress reports, composing correspondence, and drafting new contracts.
  • Creating presentations and other management-level reports.
  • Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
  • Obtaining peers acceptance of project deliverables.
  • Managing customer satisfaction within project transition period.
  • Conducting post project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • A master's degree in a related field.
  • A Project Management Professional
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management in a technical/scientific organization.
  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft office and project management software.
  • Ability to lead international project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Office management experience.
