The Legal Secretary, Administrative Assistant handles the administrative support for the General Counsel at the Company and is vital in supporting the execution of legal executive initiatives.  This position will manage administrative efforts, interact with internal and external parties, and support scheduling and general communication.  The ideal candidate will be teachable, hard-working, energetic, organized, and be able to work under pressure. 


  • Independently direct daily operation of legal executive affairs.
  • Be the first point of contact for the General Counsel.
  • Prepare documents for filing with and manage correspondence between general counsel and various regulatory bodies.
  • Research legal issues and provide proactive legal support.
  • Understand and support company Intellectual Property needs.
  • Create and edit documents, corporate communications, memos, presentations, spreadsheets, expense reports.
  • Plan and maintain legal executive's calendar, deadlines, and other scheduling of events (including travel and lodging).
  • Provide regular task updates to legal and other executives.
  • Greet and provide information as needed to those who associate with the General Counsel.
  • Maintain legal records, files, and case management tracking.
  • Provide meaningful insight to legal executive regarding the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform general office duties including managing supplies, filing, answering and screening calls, handling mail, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor degree (BS/BA) or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior legal experience required, Intellectual Property experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of legal administrative assistant / office experience.
  • High attention to detail and excellent judgment.
  • Able to format and construct various filings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
