DIGITAL / E-COMMERCE COPYWRITER

 

ASEA is looking for a Copywriter with experience in E-commerce to join our growing digital marketing group. Do you enjoy writing for the pun of it? Is brainstorming subject lines for the latest and greatest email marketing campaign your idea of a good time? Does creating converting CTA copy for AB split testing make you swoon? Then this might just be the role for you.

 

We're looking for a stylish health and nutrition nerd who's an e-commerce-savvy copywriter and careful editor obsessed with detail.

 

The successful candidate will help execute our content strategy by developing consumer-facing content and crafting copy for all product lines, which will live above and below the line from website, email newsletters, sales materials, event booths and beyond!

 

You'll be able to write engaging copy that complies with the latest FDA regulations and nutrition science but also maintains a sense of humor, remembering that we're all human.

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO - RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Write creative and technical content, copy, and messaging for all product lines across multiple platforms incorporating the latest product information, legal requirements, and marketing best practices.
  • Develop and maintain branded and optimized online copy across multiple websites aimed at engaging customers while also ensuring that all content is current and consistent with regulatory requirements.
  • Work within the CMS to optimize and manage website content and develop new pages as needed to correspond with new campaigns, product launches, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally across all company channels (social media, PR, regulatory, product development, marketing, sales, operations, and customer service) to ensure public-facing language is approved, accurate, maintains a consistent tone, and adheres to current regulations and provides value and that customers would want to act on.
  • Check Google Analytics on a regular basis to understand user engagement, traffic sources, referrals, etc. and ensure copy is optimized for conversion based on those findings.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, best practices, and industry innovations within the e-commerce and social media space.

 

 

WHAT YOU HAVE - QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • 1-3 years writing experience (preferably in e-commerce)
  • Proven expertise in writing for digital channels (e-commerce, lead generation, social media, e-mail, and others) with measured customer KPIs including CTR, conversion rate, open rates, etc.
  • Experience with creating continuous content for those metrics based on customer insights, web analytics, and user feedback.
  • A portfolio demonstrating the above and copy aligned with the brand's voice, style, and personality while still driving engagement, leads, and/or sales.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, basic HTML, and experience working in a CMS (preferably WordPress) to create and maintain optimized content.
  • Understanding of SEO keywords and expertise working in Google Analytics to understand website usage and optimize content.
  • Interest in health and wellness and experience working in the supplements industry a plus!*
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
