SENIOR PURCHASING MANAGER

 

ASEA is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Purchasing Manager to join our team. SUMMARY:

 

The Senior Purchasing Manager is responsible for the acquisition of production and other materials for the ASEA production facility. This position will also oversee the daily operations of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO - RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop purchasing systems and strategies that align with ASEA business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Verify that shipment contents meet acceptance criteria for system receipt, analyze/reconcile shipment and inventory discrepancies, and manage raw goods inventory.
  • Source materials, supplies, and equipment; determine availability, terms of sales, lead times, and pricing through interviews, contract negotiations, and bidding processes.
  • Consult with company leaders in the effective operations of the ERP system and other strategies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to purchasing personnel.
  • Maintain profitable supplier and sourcing relationships.
  • Ensure compliance under FDA, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and TGA standards.
  • Work closely with warehouse and production management to ensure proper goods documentation and product fulfillment.
  • Produce and train staff on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for all duties in assigned areas.
  • Accurately create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing & receiving reports and other records.
  • Ensure all warehouse processes begin and end with necessary controls and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work with logistics, warehouse, production & planning, quality, and other departments as needed to accomplish goals.

 

WHAT YOU HAVE - QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, college degree a plus. 
  • 7+ years' purchasing experience required. 
  • Working knowledge of cGMP guidelines & FDA requirements.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision ERP a plus.
  • Proven track record in management of employees including hiring, training and development, and termination. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, customer service, attention to detail, and project management skills. 
  • The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce independently in a dynamic, ever-changing, warehouse environment. 
  • Experience with having profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, owning & managing budgets and ability to create & maintain various management reports. 
  • Experience with ERP systems software and Microsoft Office skills, specifically Outlook and Excel. 
  • Excellent relationship building and communications skills.
  • Experience with MLM or Network Marketing industry a plus.
